In mid 2020, Chase announced special benefits and earning rates for cardholders with rideshare service Lyft.

Depending on which card you held, you could earn up to 10 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar and one free year of Lyft Pink membership — which comes with extras like priority airport pickups and 15% off unlimited car rides.

Chase has since discontinued its Lyft Pink membership offer, but it has extended its bonus points earning for a handful of its best rewards credit cards.

Insider values Chase Ultimate Rewards points above nearly every rewards currency in existence. With an estimated average value of 1.8 cents apiece, you can fund a luxury vacation with a stash of Chase points that is relatively small compared to what you’d need from other travel rewards programs.

One easy way to accrue lots of Chase points has been through spending with Lyft. For years, Chase members holding select cards have been able to earn bonus points when using their eligible card for Lyft purchases. Chase has now extended this benefit through March 2025.

Here’s what you’ll earn:

The ability to get 10 points per dollar back equates to 18% back, per Insider’s valuations. And earning 5 points per dollar gives you a 9% return.

You can only unlock the true potential of Chase Ultimate Rewards points if you’ve got an annual-fee incurring Ultimate Rewards-earning credit card, such as the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card. This allows you to transfer your points to valuable airline and hotel partners such as Hyatt, United Airlines, British Airways, and more.

If you also hold any of the above no-annual-fee cards, such as the Chase Freedom Flex℠, you can pool your rewards with a Chase annual-fee card and unlock more redemption options, including points transfers.
