Hey, it’s been a whilst, has not it? I never consider I have prepared a weblog write-up in a year or so. I hope you are all performing perfectly in these insane periods. As constantly, many thanks for reading.
I have a dilemma: What is your favored U.S. Countrywide Park?
Above the earlier two decades, I’ve fallen in love with them.
Just before the pandemic, I had only visited a handful of them, typically by incident. But after the pandemic hit, and it was safe and sound adequate to highway-trip, I drove all close to the place traveling to them.
Now I have found 15 out of 63. And someday, I’d like to see them all.
1st, there was Redwood Countrywide Park, with its towering trees and black-sand beaches…
Then Indiana Dunes, with its sprawling views of nuclear reactors…
Then Utah, household to some of the ideal countrywide parks in the state: I visited Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.
Soon after Utah, I frequented Mammoth Cave (Kentucky) and Incredibly hot Springs (Arkansas), on the way to Austin, which is where I are living now.
Then there was Large Bend, Texas. The evening sky is outstanding there! You can see so many stars.
Adopted by Petrified Forest in New Mexico…
And most recently, Glacier (Montana) and Grand Teton (Wyoming). Glacier Nationwide Park reminded me of Switzerland with its alpine valleys, purple wildflowers, and jagged mountains. I even noticed mountain goats.
I experience so blessed that I have gotten to see so a great deal of our lovely place in the past couple years.
When I was youthful, I targeted only on global vacation (this blog site isn’t termed Ashley Overseas for nothin’). But more than the past two yrs, I’m content to report that I’ve attained a newfound appreciation for my own yard.
It turns out you really do not have to fly halfway all around the environment to go on an journey.
As for my most loved? It is a two-way tie between Redwood and Large Bend.
How several countrywide parks have you frequented? Do you have a beloved?
(Here’s a entire record in case you are curious.)
