Winners of the Texas Travel Awards include parks, destinations in San Antonio and Hill Country

Spots in the Hill Nation took prime marks in this year’s Texas Journey Awards.

The Texas Vacation Awards appeared at 4 locations — arts and culture, families, foodies and outdoor adventures — and requested individuals to submit their beloved destinations for every single.

A panel of judges, like KSAT’s David Elder, then made a decision on the winners that “represent uniquely Texas areas and activities deserving of any traveler’s itinerary,” according to its web-site.

The spot of the year went to South Padre Island, but many of the other group winners have been in the Hill Nation.

For case in point, Gruene Corridor, Texas’ oldest frequently working dance hall, received a few of the categories — iconic tourist attraction, live tunes venue and area to dance.
